Dr. Stef’s career and advocacy are deeply rooted in her community of Roxbury, MA and her extensive experience in education, and social justice. She has held various impactful roles including Teacher, Program Director, and Assistant Principal, where she has consistently focused on promoting equity, social justice, and positive youth development.

One of Dr. Stef’s significant contributions has been her advocacy for Restorative Practices. By promoting these practices, she aims to break down oppressive communities to  create supportive, inclusive and affirming environments. Her approach emphasizes proactive measures over punitive ones, recognizing that fostering people’s social-emotional development is crucial for their academic, emotional and social success.

In addition to her practical roles within schools, Dr. Stef has also taken on leadership positions such as Director of Family and Community Engagement and Director of Restorative Culture. These roles highlight her commitment not only to educational leadership but also to fostering strong relationships between schools and their communities.
Dr. Stef’s academic background underscores her expertise in education and leadership, with degrees ranging from Elementary Education to a Doctorate in Curriculum, Teaching, Learning, and Leading. Her educational journey equips her with a comprehensive understanding of the systemic issues affecting education and the skills to implement effective change.
